When I was little I loved to read and would spend hours during the summer holed up with a great book like “The Secret Garden”. For me, reading opened doors to new worlds and experiences.
Now, I work with an organization that is working to ensure that every child has access to books, even during the summer months. I am walking in the Human Race this year in support of CalSERVES after school and tutoring programs, which makes a difference in the lives of over 1,500 students each year.
Please consider offering a helping hand. Your contribution will go towards books and summer programs for Santa Rosa’s most needy children. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated and will make a difference. Contributions are tax deductible and will earn you a very special thank you!
You can donate via the web site listed below or send a check made out to “The Human Race” to 5789 State Farm Drive, Rohnert Park, CA 94928

I’m off to Southern California for a few days, leaving my three boys behind. I know they’ll do great, and I already miss them but I am really looking forward to some uninterrupted meals, sleeping through the night, catching up with a long-lost friend, and maybe even a movie. See you Saturday morning, my sweets!
