We spent part of the afternoon on a gorgeous fall day at one of our favorite places.

We had a great Father’s Day Weekend. Will got to take the boys on a run, then a bike ride, then a car show, then a brewery, and then a nice dinner. Hattie and I joined and watched the fearsome threesome have a ball in all their glory. It was great to see the boys enjoying their fantastic dad’s company so much.
I started work again at the beginning of the month. It’s been a whirlwind, with reports, grant applications and trying to get ahead of my email. To culminate this first month back, Will had to go away on business for a few days. I was really worried about it, but now that it’s almost over, I feel very accomplished. While he’s been away, there hasn’t been any blood, or many tears, and we’ve all eaten relatively well.
Overall, this month has gone quickly, and without too many incidents despite the transitions. Will and I are now both back at work and Charlie started preschool and Hattie started day care.
Here I am at my desk, trying not to feel too frantic considering the sleepless nights and timing challenges of 2 full time jobs and 2 drop offs and pick ups. Hair and teeth are brushed. Bonus!
Dear Family and Friends,
Every year, I walk for the Human Race to benefit the CalSERVES AmeriCorps programs I’ve worked with for the last 10 years.
By supporting me, you’ll be supporting some incredible programs—this year alone, we’ve provided academic support and enrichment activities to over 2,500 students in Napa and Sonoma counties and across the state. Our members have recruited over 20,000 volunteers who help nonprofit and community organizations serve more clients more effectively—places like the International Rescue Center in San Diego, the Food Bank in Monterey County, and Social Advocates for Youth in Sonoma County.
And, as an added bonus, this year I’ll be walking with 3 kids aged 3 and under—that alone should be worth something, right? Please consider helping me reach my goal of $600. You can donate online by clicking this link: http://www.humanracenow.org/goto/ssitchcalserves
Thank you in advance!

Miles is our cheerful boy who loves to laugh. Here’s a shot of us about a year ago enjoying a good giggle.
